Spoken language in written form for advertisements.

L'OREAL- 'Because your worth it'
Asda-'Your better off at Asda'
Burger king-'Have it your way'

The slogans above are just some that were discussed in a previous English language lesson. As you can see from the three i have selected there is one key thing all have in common and that is the use of the word 'your'.This is because companies/ advertisers try to make a false relationship between themselves and the audience. Its almost as if their talking to you so it seems more comfortable.
The slogan i chose was from the company L'OREAL and their slogan is 'Because your worth it'. I found this a strange but very persuasive advertisement strategy. The reason i thought it was strange was because its as if it is telling people they should want to feel worth it. The slogan is more about the image it allows than the actual product and if you buy this it will make you look and feel 'worth it' like what woman on this earth doesn't want to feel and look worth it?. The use of synthetic personalisation was also on show for the majority  of slogans. This is the process of addressing million as if they were individuals, creating a relationship that is comfortable which gives more chance of the person purchasing the product.
